The hotel chain has announced a summer opportunity for one lucky intern, dubbed a “sun-tern”, involving a month long trip across the country, expense-free.
The promotion is part of a broader push to feature a new collection of art in their hotel rooms with a theme of, you guessed it, the sun: sunrises, sunsets, sun showers. To make it happen, they are hunting for an aspiring photog to travel to various Days Inn locations in the US with the sole mission of taking as many sun-oriented pictures as possible.
In addition to shooting, the lucky intern will partake in pre-paid experiences like “sunrise yoga” in San Diego and “sunset sailing in Miami.” On top of these adventures, your hotel room and airfare paid for by the company, and you’ll also make a pretty little sum of $10,000 upon completion of the assignment.
Tell me that doesn’t sound like the ultimate summer internship.
Naturally, the next question is, how do you apply?
There aren’t many requirements to apply, making this an opportunity for virtually anyone with an interest in photography and travel. All applicants do, however, have to be 21 years or older and have a month free this summer to travel.
Other than that, all there is to do is send in your favorite original outdoor photo—along with a 100 word paragraph on why you’re the person for the job—to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The deadline for applications is May 20, 2018, giving you over two weeks to get this baseline requirement in order.
Obviously, it helps to be a self-starter with an adventurous side, as you’ll be traveling solo across the country and engaging in who-knows-what kind of sunny activities.
If you’re looking for an opportunity to strengthen your photography, love to travel, or just want an exciting adventure to embark on, this is definitely the internship for you.
